Short version: what you type stays on your device. TaxIQ has no accounts, no tracking and no database.

What happens to your numbers

• Every calculation, including Ask TaxIQ and Money You’re Missing, runs in your own browser.
• Your salary and other answers are never sent to a server, never put in the web address, and never saved. Closing or refreshing the page clears them.
• Ask TaxIQ is not an online chatbot. It reads your question on your device and answers from the same calculator.

What is saved on your device

Only your appearance choices, if you change them: light or dark mode and the green or blue colour. They are kept in your browser’s local storage under taxiq-theme and taxiq-accent, so the site looks the way you left it. Nothing else is stored, and there are no cookies.

What our host sees

The site is hosted on Vercel. Like any website, the host receives standard request details (such as your IP address and browser type) when it sends you the pages. TaxIQ does not use analytics or advertising, and loads no third-party scripts or fonts.

Not tax advice

TaxIQ gives estimates to help you understand your pay. It is not tax advice, and it is not run by or linked to Revenue or the Government of Ireland. Final amounts are confirmed by Revenue. Not included yet: the age tax credit (65 and over), the Home Carer Tax Credit, self-employed income and the Week 1 (emergency) basis. If any of these apply to you, your real figures will be different.
